Lottie, the brains and power behind Coldharbour Lights has a background in theatre and special design. From her garden studio in London Lottie designs and creates bespoke feathered light shades, sustainably sourcing and hand-dying organic feathers in all shades of colours. As a native Londoner and a European, with family roots in southern Spain and western Wales, Coldharbour Lights takes its name from Coldharbour Studios in South London where the company was first established in 2016. 

“As I enjoy putting together incongruous materials, I wanted to use decadent, luxurious textures alongside functional, utilitarian elements. So I found myself combining bicycle wheel rims and ball chain with feathers and crystal in these unique feather light shades. My love of the style and designs of the Art Deco period informs my work and inspires me to create a decadent allure to each piece" says Lottie.

 

Light enough to hang from an ordinary ceiling fitting. The shades are super simple to install, yet add a super dazzling and romantic touch to any room.

We can visualise these Art Deco inspired shades in so many spaces, above a large old fireplace in a villa lounge, a pink feathered beauty in a child’s room, hanging above a  cocktail bar... The versatile feathered shades are a bold and glamorous statement piece.
